How much stone you see is a decision, not an accident. We agree the cut depth and gloss level on a test patch in your own slab before we run the whole floor, because every slab exposes differently.

What you get
DONE PROPERLY, START TO FINISH
Grinding is dust-extracted, so the house stays liveable while we work. Edges are cut in tight to walls and cabinetry rather than left as a dull border.

Work up through the grit sequence, flattening and refining the surface.

Chemical densifier to harden the surface and take the polish.

Penetrating seal against staining, then buffed to the agreed gloss.

How much stone will show in my floor?
That depends how deep we cut and where the aggregate sits in your slab. A cream finish cuts barely below the surface, salt-and-pepper a little further, full exposure deeper again. We prove it on a test patch first.
Can you polish an existing slab?
Often, yes — garage and shed slabs polish up well. What we cannot do is polish a slab that is badly out of level or has had glue, tiles or topping over it without agreeing how far we need to cut.
Is polished concrete slippery?
Dry, no. Wet, a high gloss can be — so for alfresco and around wet areas we either stop at a lower gloss or use a seal with grip in it.
