You choose the stone and the wash depth off real samples, not a brochure. We form, steel, pour, wash and cut it, then seal it once it has cured.

DONE PROPERLY, START TO FINISH
Get the wash right and the driveway ages into the house. Get it wrong and it either looks like bare concrete or like a creek bed — which is a decision made on the day, by someone who has done it a few hundred times.

Is exposed aggregate hot underfoot?
Less than a dark plain slab, and a lot less than pavers. Lighter stone blends stay noticeably cooler through a Brisbane summer, which matters most around pools and on paths off the alfresco.
Is it slippery when wet?
No — the stone texture is what gives it grip, which is why it suits sloped driveways. The sealer we use keeps that texture rather than filling it in.
Can you match the stone on my neighbour’s driveway?
Usually. Bring us a photo, or we will look at it while we are quoting, and we will get as close as the local quarries allow.
