WHAT BRISBANE NORTH CONCRETE ACTUALLY NEEDS
Ashgrove, Kedron and Stafford are full of post-war homes with narrow strip driveways, often two runners with grass down the middle. Those get resurfaced beautifully, but the edges need rebuilding first — decades of mower wheels and tree roots take the corners off a 100mm slab.
The Gap and Bridgeman Downs bring tree cover, and tree cover brings organic staining and lifted slabs. Staining lifts out in the prep. Slabs lifted by a root are a different conversation, and the honest answer there is usually to break out that section and re-pour it before doing anything decorative.
Character homes are the other consideration up here. A stencilled ashlar or a bluestone-look pattern sits properly against a 1930s Queenslander in a way that a plain grey slab never did, and we keep the colour choice muted so it reads as original rather than added on.

Do you travel to Brisbane North for a single driveway?

My Ashgrove driveway is two narrow runners. Can they be resurfaced?
Yes, and it is one of the better transformations we do. The edges usually need rebuilding first because mower wheels and roots have knocked the corners off, then the overlay goes over the top.
A tree root has lifted part of my driveway. What happens?
That section gets broken out and re-poured, and the root managed, before anything decorative goes on. Overlaying a lifted slab just gives you a lifted decorative slab.
What finish suits a Queenslander?
Stencilled ashlar or bluestone-look in a muted colour. It reads as though it was always there, which is the point. We bring samples and look at them against your house, not in a showroom.
